Hillary trained as a cultural anthropologist before she ever picked up a doula bag, which means she walks into a birth room noticing things most of us miss. In this conversation she talks about her path into doula work and childbirth education, what the anthropology lens has done for her practice, and how she uses her special powers for good. Recorded in spring 2019, well before she stepped into national doula leadership.
