In this 30th episode of the podcast, we talk about our recent experiences teaching childbirth education and doula trainings online as well as attending our first virtual birth with a client. We talk about the pitfalls of too many virtual meetings, the dents that are growing in our beds where we hide from our kids for meetings, and which books we have been reading to distract ourselves and keep our brains happier. Robin was recently a guest on a different podcast that she mentions: The Perks of Being a Book Lover Podcast.
Here is our list of books* that we mention we have recently read or are currently reading:
- The Murmur of Bees
- The Botany of Desire
- The German Midwife
- Maybe You Should Talk to Someone
- Where the Crawdads Sing
This episode was us catching up on what has been going on in our two worlds. We talk about hospital policies and what we are experiencing right now during this pandemic both professionally and personally. Full disclosure, we were both sitting in our beds recording this and mostly winged it in the moment. Though I’m pretty sure we were both dressed at the time, I cannot guarantee it.
We would love to hear about your experiences changing up how you are doing work during this pandemic! Leave us a voicemail on our Google Voice account and we might use the recording in an upcoming episode of the podcast: (502) 501-3997.
